TCM – Race and Hollywood: Latino Images in Film
This is my site Written by Cumba on April 10, 2009 – 5:23 pm

In May, TCM is presenting it’s fourth in the series “Race and Hollywood.” This edition is on “Latino Images in Film.” The series runs every Tuesday and Thursday in the month of May, starting at 8:00PM and continuing overnight.

Each night will have a different theme, such as “Spanish Dons and Señoritas in the Silent Era”, “Families”, “Miscegenation” and “Social Problems”. With a wide range of films from the silent era to more contemporary releases, this should be an interesting group of films to watch.

The films will be co-hosted by noted Latino film historian, writer and educator, Chon Noriega and TCM’s Robert Osborne.

  1. Sounds awesome! I will have to check it out…

  2. I regret not knowing about this series before, the previous ones look really interesting, they did one on African-Americans, Asians and Gays in film.

Most of the movies from the past 40 years, I have seen but hoping I can set my DVR to catch some of the older ones.
